2 Scenes from Debbie Does My Dad

Here are two scenes from the work in progress showing of Debbie Does My Dad at the Drama For Life Festival in Johannesburg, South Africa this month. Enjoy, and let me know what you think.

  1. Yeeeaaa. Real impressive Bobby. Good to see you working the crowd. Can't believe I haven't personally seen you on a stage yet.

  2. bobby, your art and talent has flourished and i am so proud to know you. come to new york and let's blow this shit up and i wanna show everyone what you have to say. x frooz

  3. Sorry it took me so long to watch these clips; i needed to be relaxed because I really wanted to see them, not just pass them over my eyes and ears. They are sweet and moving, percolated in the individual and bizarre circumstance, but with intimations of the universal. the video sucked because it wasn't properly shot, and because spoken word is big and public and not intimate and subtle. If you want to translate this into something for the screen (like Jon deeme did for some monologuist whose name escapes me). I'll do do it. One of my few regrets in a totally unplanned life was that I never debriefed my brilliant asshole father. Anyway, nice work...

  4. John, I would LOVE THAT! Let's figure out when and where and how!
